AMALIA GOMES

Amalia's passion for music led her to start singing as early as 6 years of age, participating in and winning various school singing competions.

Modest at heart, she attributes her beautiful voice to years of choir singing where she developed her natural ear for harmony.

Versatile by nature, she appreciates all kinds of music besides latino. She went on to be a winner of various Inter-college singing competitions and later had the opportunity to represent Goa University at the 'All India Universities Youth Festival' where she won 2nd place for singing with a rendition of her own composition.

Amalia's dad was a good musican and a multi instrumentalist at that, playing piano, accordion and mouth organ with equal dexterity. Her grand dad was the first Indian to be a member of the Wodehouse church choir. Naturally then, with a family history seeping with musical accomplishment, Amalia is currently receiving a thorough education in the field of Western Classical voice training, Solfeggio-ear training, theory of music, music appreciation and is also being trained to play the piano & the saxophone.

Besides music, her other passions include dancing, outdoor adventure, love for animals and taking care of her family business.
